Santa Maria della Spina - This church is situated along the Arno river that runs through Pisa. Its construction was completed in 1323. However, it was moved in 1871 to protect it from flooding.

Museo Nazionale di San Matteo - A museum that was once a prison.  The displays are barely maintained, and poorly labled (typical in lesser museums in Italy) however there is a nice collection of Florentine and Pisan artwork from the 12th - 17th centuries.

Piazza dei Cavalieri - The Horsemen's Square. The Palazzo dei Cavalieri, built in the 16th century and is the largest building facing the square, is home to Pisa University's Scuola Normale Superiore.  The piazza is named for an order of Pisan knights that Cosimo I put into service in 1561
